Services

Field asset emission measurement services
built for GCC industrial reality.

Two service tiers — both grounded in the same rigorous field methodology and MCERTS-certified instrumentation. Tier 1 delivers a full exhaust chemistry audit. Tier 2 adds the mass flow measurement and unit conversion needed for GHG Protocol Tier 3 reporting and EPA Tier classification.

TIER 1

Combustion Health & Emissions Concentration Audit

On-site measurement of exhaust gas concentrations for each combustion asset, using the Testo 350 MCERTS-certified portable analyser. Results benchmarked against World Bank EHS Guidelines and Oman Ministerial Decision 18/2009 emission limits.

Tier 1 is the entry point for any operator who needs to know what their assets are actually emitting — without the complexity of mass flow measurement. It delivers a complete exhaust chemistry profile for each unit, a signed Asset Health Passport, and a clear pass/flag/elevated status against international benchmarks.

TIER 2

GHG Mass Emissions Inventory & EPA Tier Classification

Everything in Tier 1, plus exhaust mass flow measurement and fuel consumption cross-check — converting concentration readings (ppm) to mass emissions (g/kWh), the unit required for ISO 8178-4 test cycle compliance, EPA CFR Part 1039 Tier classification, and GHG Protocol Tier 3 Scope 1 reporting.

Tier 2 is the right choice for operators who need to report Scope 1 emissions to ESG auditors, project owners, or financing institutions — and for assets where EPA Tier compliance status needs to be formally established rather than estimated from manufacture year alone.

  • All Tier 1 deliverables included
  • Exhaust mass flow measurement per ISO 8178-4 load point weighting
  • g/kWh conversion for NOx, CO, HC, and CO₂ per asset
  • EPA Tier classification (Tier 1–4) per CFR Part 1039 / 1048 limits
  • Annual CO₂e estimate per asset based on measured emissions and operating hours
  • Fleet-level Scope 1 GHG inventory — GHG Protocol Tier 3 (measured)
  • GRI 305-aligned data export for ESG disclosure
  • Comparison of measured vs. generic emission factor estimate — quantifies the difference

The process

From site visit to permanent record — four steps.

A structured, repeatable process that delivers a defensible emissions record on every engagement.

01

Asset scoping

Asset register review, ISO 8178 test cycle assignment (C1, D2, E3), and measurement scope definition for each asset class.

02

Field measurement

MCERTS-certified Testo 350 deployed on-site. Pre-test ASTM D6522 calibration check. Steady-state measurements. Full ambient and engine load documentation.

03

Passport issued

Signed report and updated Asset Health Passport per asset. Readings benchmarked vs. WB EHS Guidelines, Oman MD 18/2009, and EPA Tier limits.

04

Programme continues

Scheduled return visits build trend lines. Scope 1 data kept current. Client portal updated after every visit.

Add-on programmes

Ongoing monitoring and specialist services.

Both service tiers can be combined with ongoing monitoring programmes and specialist maritime compliance measurement.

Annual Monitoring Programme

Biannual site visits — summer and winter baseline — with full programme management, updated asset passports, cross-asset benchmarking, trend analysis, and a sustainability-ready data package for annual ESG and Scope 1 reporting cycles.
